These are a series of photos taken over about three hours of a jimson weed/sacred datura/moon flower blooming in my yard. I then merged them into a time lapse movie for easier viewing. After looking at them on a bigger computer screen, I realized the flower was still moving into its final postion. I should have continued taking photos, but I figured it would be done after 10pm. The process of the flower positioning itself starts about 15 minutes before sunrise and then kicks into high gear ten minutes after sunset.
The photos displayed in the gallery have a file name indicating the time in the format hhmm or hhmmss.
